Old Mountain Acupuncture is owned and operated by
Nathaniel [Nate] Novgrod. OMA serves the population
of the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina
and provides affordable, natural health care for a wide
variety of modern conditions.
Nathaniel
[Nate]
has been studying Chinese internal
martial arts and qi gong since 1997 and through these
discovered Chinese medicine. Nate received an A.A.
from Wake Tech Community College in Raleigh, NC.
Following that Nate graduated Cum Laude with a B.S.
in History with a minor in International Studies from
Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC, and
a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from
Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, OR.
After finishing their 4 year program in 3 years
martial arts and qi gong since 1997 and through these
discovered Chinese medicine. Nate received an A.A.
from Wake Tech Community College in Raleigh, NC.
Following that Nate graduated Cum Laude with a B.S.
in History with a minor in International Studies from
Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC, and
a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from
Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, OR.

Nate moved to WNC with his family when he was ten
years old and soon fell in love with the Smoky
Mountains. After moving to the west coast to get his
education in Acupuncture and Chinese medicine from
one of the top schools in the US, he decided to return
to the area that had fostered his love of nature. Nate
chose to return to WNC to provide an alternative
option for reasonably priced health care in the area
that he grew up in.
